I am so sorry for your loss. Brendan is a very handsome boy. Just know that someday you will be together again with your beautiful angel. Prayers for you Rebecca, his Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt and Brendan. I hope that someday soon you will find Brendan so that he may have the proper resting place that he deserves. Just remember that he can never take your memories from you.

And to Brendan look for my niece. Her name is Amanda Shaffer. She is five years old. She will play with you and help to care for you.
God Bless.

You are in my prayers and we put your story in our church bulletin so that our parishioners could also pray for you and your family and friends in your endeavour to find Brendan. God Bless!

My son is just down the hill from Brendan's teddy bear memorial.  When weather permits, I have a certain route I follow through the cemetery on my way out.  I ALWAYS include a stop by his teddy bear and a thought for the family.  I vividly remember the day Brendan went missing and the following, painful days.  I sooo wish he had been found!

Always in my heart,

My prayers are with you!

Hey I do not know who wrote that last message but whoever it was they seriously have something wrong with you and you are a psycho to. This child is GODS child and is a beautiful child and his mother is an amazing person. And as for the father of this child may he rot in prison. He is an awful monster. I love and miss you Rebecca and hope to see you soon.

What an ugly boy, no big loss really. His dad is a great man :)

I'm new to the area and heard about your story about a week ago. I'm too upset (angry & sad) right now to write much. I'm crying all over my keyboard as I type this. But I just wanted to say that you will be missed and never forgotten Brendan and may God Bless you and your family.

Even after a few years have gone by, your family is thought of and prayed for by many. What a beautiful boy to have in your lives even for a short period of time. God bless you all!!

I am so sad over your loss, my son was also murdered. Like me, I know for you, there is NO closure and you will love and miss him with your last dying breath. Be comforted in the knowledge that he IS with our Lord and you will be with him in just a God minute! Our worst fear is that we NEED them remembered so I'm sending you a Quote I got on a memorial site of a friend. Share this with friends and family...even strangers you may come across who want to help in your grief. God Bless you!
Bereaved Parents Wish List

I wish you wouldn't be afraid to speak my child's name. My child lived and was very important to me. I need to hear that he was important to you also.

If I cry and get emotional when you talk about my child, I wish you knew that it isn't because you have hurt me. My child's death is the cause of my tears. You ha ...

I helped search for Brendon when I was a Cass County Deputy. I also helped because I was a father and wanted to reach out to his family. I will always remember "The Case" and how a innocent life was stolen. The dedication of all those I searched with will also be memorable as we struggled for justice and the values in life that we hold dear.

my 19 year olld son was murdered on Christmas Day 1982 and it seems like yesterday. I have learned to existed without the terrible pain that was in the beginning. My grandchildren and greatson keep me gone. His murdered is now out of jail serving 15 years. Ane they call that justice. I got a life sentence of messing him.  All I can tell you is you will be able to survive in time.  Time is the only healer.  Take care and I will be thinking of you.  Do you have a garden for Parents of Murdered Child. We have 1 in Aston Pa it is a little piece of heaven on earth.  You can feel God's presence as you walk around the many memories. If your state doesnt have one you shoulld start it its a wonderful place to visit  love Sara Dzugan

So sorry for your loss.  I found this link on Facebook via the POMC group.  I lost my dear friend to murder on 8.5.08.  Her children, who were best friends with my children, have not been allowed to see me or my family since her murder.  My family has a heart for those whose lives have been devastated by murder.  God bless you, and may you know His peace which passes all understanding.

Be joyful in hope...patient in affliction...faithful in prayer.  Romans 12:12

I found a balloon in Remembrance of Brendan on January 9 th, 2009 walking my dogs.  The balloon was low in a tree next to a pasture in Broussard, Louisiana. I found your strory very sad , and hope you can find some closure soon.

Stacy from Louisiana 12.29.2008 at 16:01
I want you to know that I do not know what this pain is like and I also want you to know that you will always be in my prayers and your son as well. I wanted to let you know I visited this website and he truly is beautiful. I am so sorry that this has happened to a great person like yourself and just know that he is your guardian angel and always will be. I  sometimes wish that there was more that I can do and maybe there is. I will certainly find out what that is in my prayers. If you ever need anything at all or someone to talk to I am here for you whenever.

Stocha, from Bellevue 09.29.2008 at 15:00
I'd first like to say that no matter what happens, whether we find Brendan's body or not, he will always be in our hearts. My mother did daycare for him, and I would play with him or talk to him while he waited for his mom to pick him up. He was the sweetest, cutest little boy, and it was heart-wrenching to see him leave this world in such a horrible fashion. I did all I could to help by passing out fliers at school to preparing balloons with his picture and information stapled to the string, which were released one day in hopes of spreading the word. I only wish I could have done more. Becky, you've been so strong through this whole ordeal, and we're all so proud of you. We're all here for you.

God has Brendan with him, so keep him in your prayers. To Brendan, we love you very much, and only wish you could have been with us longer.

~Stocha (Chelsea)
