I found a balloon in Remembrance of Brendan on January 9 th, 2009 walking my dogs.  The balloon was low in a tree next to a pasture in Broussard, Louisiana. I found your strory very sad , and hope you can find some closure soon.

I want you to know that I do not know what this pain is like and I also want you to know that you will always be in my prayers and your son as well. I wanted to let you know I visited this website and he truly is beautiful. I am so sorry that this has happened to a great person like yourself and just know that he is your guardian angel and always will be. I  sometimes wish that there was more that I can do and maybe there is. I will certainly find out what that is in my prayers. If you ever need anything at all or someone to talk to I am here for you whenever.

I'd first like to say that no matter what happens, whether we find Brendan's body or not, he will always be in our hearts. My mother did daycare for him, and I would play with him or talk to him while he waited for his mom to pick him up. He was the sweetest, cutest little boy, and it was heart-wrenching to see him leave this world in such a horrible fashion. I did all I could to help by passing out fliers at school to preparing balloons with his picture and information stapled to the string, which were released one day in hopes of spreading the word. I only wish I could have done more. Becky, you've been so strong through this whole ordeal, and we're all so proud of you. We're all here for you.

God has Brendan with him, so keep him in your prayers. To Brendan, we love you very much, and only wish you could have been with us longer.

I lived in Plattsmouth when Brendan went missing.  I also have a son named Brendon who was a couple of years older.  This touched me in a way that no other story has touched me.  I used to drive a different way home from work in hopes of seeing a clue that would bring closure to your family.  For weeks I had hoped I would find little Brendan alive but scared.  I searched today to see if he has ever been found, I am sad to see that he has not been.  He has never left my heart or my prayers..
God Bless!

My thoughts and prayers are with you still.  I helped search the landfill when I was stationed at Offutt.  I could not imagine what your family continues to go thru.  God bless you...

I am touched by this story and being a Christian my sole  concern is that Brendan gets a proper burial. Even Jesus got a proper burial though hated by the people of His time (though He rose again). My prayers are with the family and with his mother my colleague.

Brendan and my son Noel were good friends.  They were born around the same time and were in child care at Vicky and Donny's house since they were babies.  I'd see him when I went to pick up my son.  We went to his last birthday party at Skateland there in Millard.  I was only able to do one day during the search at the landfill in June.

though i once thought i knew you all so well, we've become very distant. mom and i always watch the news and read the papers to get the latest news. i never believed in god before last year but i always hoped for the best for you. now i pray. it;s so easy for people to hear a story be so concerned and then forget about it when it's not being reported anymore. you haven't let that happen. Thank you! please continue to be strong and hope for the best. iven is not a concern anymore. it's now time to take care of your self and preserve the memories of Brendan Tyler Gonzales. Don' let people forget!

I was going through my posters for missing and exploited children and did a search on Brendan Tyler's name to see the latest on his case. I was not aware that his case may have been resolved with his father's confession. I am so sorry for the tragic events that have occured in your family. I cannot imaging the pain in the loss of a child. I do hope you find Brendan to bring closure to your family, and, if not, I will pray that God gives you the grace to somehow get closure and to know that he is in a place where you can be with him again someday. I really enjoyed the pictures. He is a beautiful child and obviously brought much joy to everyone in his family.

God bless
